God has richly blessed and led us over the many decades. As a reminder of God’s “Ripples of Grace”, God blessed us with the St. Stephen's Church in 2018 through the generous support of our congregation, the Ripples of Grace Fundraiser (2009-2012), and the sale of the Roscoe Blvd campus (2020). We completed an extensive 3-phase remodel and reconstruction project of the St. Stephen's Church in 2019. CCAC moved in 2019 and has been growing and blessed by God over these three years.
As you may know, we needed to delay Phase 4 for three years due to COVID-19 and put development on pause. We have been growing into our new facility well and want to invest in CCAC’s future growth. The time appears right to begin this expansion and beautification project with a growing need for classrooms, staff offices, fellowship space and security. Lord willing, through the generous giving and sacrifice of our CCAC family, we will see this vision realized. What is the vision of Phase 4? There are two parts to this project:
1. CONSTRUCTION of a MINISTRY BUILDING 2-STORY 7,000 SF place of welcome and encouragement at a cost of $2.5 Million:
Christian Discipleship Education - 3 Classrooms
Pastoral Care - 6 Offices for staff and admin, counseling, finances, and ministry
Welcome and Outreach Hospitality Center and Refreshment Lounge
Handicapped Accessibility with elevator and ADA Bathrooms
2. CAMPUS LANDSCAPING and SECURITY with a cost of $1.5 Million:
New hard and soft landscaping to complete our campus with sitting and walking areas for prayer, meditation, fellowship, and outreach
Expanded Parking – Resurfacing/restriping all parking lots (west, north and south)
Enhanced Security - lighting, fencing, and rolling gates around campus perimeter
Extended Children’s Play Area and Storage Areas
The WAVES OF GRATITUDE is our capital campaign to raise funds for Phase 4 that focuses on having an “attitude of gratitude”. Off the heels of Thanksgiving, we begin this campaign by of our praise, please participate by praying:
For the building permits and plans to be approved by L.A. City by Fall, 2023
For our hearts to be full of gratitude and thanks to our triune God.
For God to start and finish this project as He wills.
For our faithful and generous giving as the Lord leads.
For our church, for our City and Beyond, for Christ’s glory
What is our goal to raise for Phase 4? Goal of this campaign is to raise $3 Million over 3 years.

FAQ
Where can I see updates and Phase 4 information? Please go to www.ccalliance.com/build
What is the timeline? Building Permits will go into the City of LA at the end of 2022. Anticipated processing and approval is Fall of 2023. Construction will take at least 12 months. We will continue to be open for ministry during construction.
When will we start construction and how will we fund this? We are aiming to start construction when we have > 60% ($2.5 Million) in our Building Fund and additional pledges to cover the remaining portion over the next three years. We have been approved by the Orchard Alliance Fund for a $2.5 Million Bridge Construction Loan. Being debt adverse, our pledges from 2023-2025 will pay off this Bridge Loan as soon as possible.
Have we received bids for the project yet? Yes, we have received 3 bids for the project. The GB has selected Staples Construction, a design-build company, based on their reputation, professionalism, experience, cost, and recommendations. To date, they have helped us with extensive value engineering designs.
Do we have existing savings in our church accounts that can be used for Phase 4? Yes, the Governing Board is in discussion about how much of our General Savings Accounts, currently in CD’s and High Interest Savings Accounts, will be allocated to Phase 4.
Can I give stock and real estate? Yes, this can be a prudent part of your financial tax planning. Please consult with your accountant and Dave Lew, our church Treasurer, for recommendations.
